About Webdings

Webdings is one of many dingbat fonts. Much like the more well-known wingdings font, webdings is a font by Microsoft.
Dingbats are ornamental fonts that use various symbols, shapes, and glyphs in place of text. Each character on your keyboard has an equivalent in the form of a dingbat, and when you type that character, it will appear on-screen as its equivalent from that font. These fonts were mostly used for decorative purposes.

How It Works

Since webdings is a font, copying and pasting it doesn't normally work. It's like changing text in Google Documents to sans serif and pasting it into a word processor that only supports arial font – it will come out looking like arial text, not sans serif.
However, the webdings translator is able to convert regular text into Unicode symbols. This way, you can copy and paste it anywhere, and it should show up as webdings.
Unfortunately, if your browser or device has not fully implimented all of the Unicode characters that go into webdings, it may not show up correctly on your end. You may want to use a browser like Google, Safari, Microsoft Edge, or Firefox. If you're already using one of these browsers, make sure it's updated to the latest version.
Some icons may be rendered as emojis or slightly different symbols. There's not much that can be done about that, sorry.

About The Translator

This translator was created by the user Echolepzy on Toyhouse. She planned to use webdings font in an animation, but upon noticing a lack of webdings translators, she decided to create one herself.
The URLs and titles for "Webdings" and "Webdings Translator" are already taken, but they aren't functional. Apologies if you had trouble finding this. ^^'
