I can’t find any of these, so I made it myself!
You may notice that spelling out POIUY in the english part no longer spells QWERTY in the other box.
This is the advanced version of this translator, so characters like ` and ' are swapped around too. It is not possible to flip shift, control, fn, alt, home, caps lock, function keys, backspace, space, enter, etc. since they are not typeable characters.
Sadly, the period/full stop (.) character can't be replaced, which would replace x anyways so it isn't too big of a deal. But keep that in mind!
The following is copied from the original translator with slight modifications:
Basically, encoding and decoding this language yourself is easy as flipping your keyboard! (That’s a metaphor, by the way.)
Here’s how to do it:
- Take any letter and find it on your keyboard (should be a regular QWERTY keyboard.)
- Find the letter key on the opposite part of the keyboard. (Letters only! An easy way to do this is count out from the closest side until you reach your key. Then, count the same amount from the other side! Exclude keys like caps lock since they are not typeable)
- Re-write the letter as it’s opposite. (H, U and 6 are their own opposite since they’re in the middle, so leave them be.)
- You’re done!
The original, simple translator can be found
here.
