a+v=V e.g nguai = ngui
but if the vowel prceding a is not there it stays a e.g ngai = ngai
if it doubles the sound it is long not double sounding out e.g nguu = ngū
so you say ngū not ngu-u as a glottle stop says when that happens.
limitations with site make it hard to change this behavior.
