Vediscian Language Lexicon

Vediscean is the major language spoken and used for writing in the nation of Vedi. Vediscean contains fifteen unique consonants and nine unique vowels. The vowel pah has a total of four diacritics, ei has just a single diacritic, and ane has two diacritics.

B. COMPOSITES

"...but you are my king."
- "υui aɯu ɒɑ ma äŋ."
- "υuiaɯu ɒɑ ma äŋ."
Any pah followed by a space is composed and both words are combined into the previous word.
"...no, you must not do that."
- "...nɯaɯu muȃɥ nɯi ɯ cȃɒi."
- "nɯ, aɯu muȃɥ nɯi ɯ cȃɒi."
Any pah followed by a comma or period is not to be combined into the previous word.
"Where is your affinity?"
- "ecaɑ ǝɥaɯu ɒɹɹänǝä?"
- "ecaɑ ǝɥaɯu ɒ'ɹänǝä?"
"Not at all."
- "nɯi ɒi ɒȷȷ?"
- "nɯi ɒi ɒ'ȷ?"
Any double ryo, jeh, or uhel is to be replaced with an informal apostrophe in the place of the first of the two repeating letters.
C. PUNCTUATION AND CAPITALISATION
ⱷŋiuɒiǝɯn ᴐ ɒⱷǝiɒȷǝɥɒiǝɯn
Vediscean varies from common languages and language families due to the fact that it contains no apparent capitalisation. This was because there are no alternate letters for uppercase and lowercase, consequently only a single case was used. Vediscean also oddly combines this lack of capitalisation with English and Afrikaans punctuation symbols and technique. A full stop is represented by a period, a half stop is represented by a comma, and so on and so forth.
