If you're a DM and need to come up with quick phrases or words for the rogue in your party, this translator will turn a string of words into an apparent string of gibberish. Feel free to use this to give a sentence or two of flavor before switching to the common tongue, or share this link with your rogue to be able to talk without the rest of the party understanding.
-Direct translation of phrases will sound like gibberish, and oftentimes won't make sense grammatically. They may be spoken as is, or may have extraneous words sprinkled in to make it flow better.
-Names and proper nouns are assigned a different name to carry their meaning, oftentimes flipping the gender if there is one. Many thieves will introduce themselves with their Cant name to other thieves, not their real one.
-If a word doesn't translate, try picking a synonym or un-conjugating. I haven't gotten all forms of every word in the translator. For example, if 'reaching' won't translate, write 'reach' instead.
-Most of the Cant are common words, but there are a few borrowed from other languages.
-The Cant is always evolving, and varies from city to city. A thief who is not active will eventually become unable to understand the Cant.
Please note that there are a few proper nouns included in this translator that are places, names, or gods from the pantheon in my campaign. Feel free to use them or replace them with your own.
