Note: In the word djuula (know), the DJ is pronounced like the English J, but the J alone is pronounced like the English Y. Also, DJ is a compound, such as SH or CH in english.
Note 2: With the removal of æ and œ, which are replaced with ã and õ respectively, some words now have a silent letter in them, such as morãe (seaside), which used to be moræ. The e is silent - Don't say it!
