This translator is an experimental translator for the Gottscheerisch dialect of German, which was spoken in southern Slovenia by German settlers who arrived there in the Middle Ages. The dialect itself is a Southern Bavarian variant of German, and share many features in common with dialects in Tyrol. Many speakers Feld to the United States during the Second World War and resided in New York, where it became modernized with some newer words. A wide variety of vocabulary exists in the dialect, from toponyms of villages to simple tasks such as working around the city.
