Four's Speech Characteristics
- Distorted, Wobbly Voice
Four's voice fluctuates in pitch and intensity, often becoming warped, glitchy, or unstable. The translator should simulate this by occasionally stretching or altering words in an unnatural way.
- Elongation and Sudden Pitch Changes
Certain words or vowels are elongated unpredictably, e.g., “staaaap” instead of “stop.”
Some syllables may shift pitch suddenly, either rising sharply or dropping unexpectedly.
- Glitchy, Digital-Like Sounds
Four’s speech sometimes has a distorted, almost robotic quality, with abrupt static-like noises.
The translator could replace certain letters or parts of words with symbols, numbers, or unusual spellings to mimic this.
- Intense Emphasis on Certain Words
Words related to numbers, elimination, or anger are usually exaggerated.
Exclamations (like "NOOOO!!") should be highly emphasized, sometimes with extra O’s or excessive punctuation.
- Overuse of "Ah," "Uh," and Other Sounds
Four often interjects sounds like “Aaah!!” or “Uhh…” in the middle of sentences.
These should be randomly inserted into translated text to capture his style.
- Sudden Yelling and Over-the-Top Reactions
The volume of certain words or phrases increases dramatically.
The translator should detect words like “stop,” “eliminate,” or numbers, making them capitalized and drawn out (e.g., “STOOOOOPPP!!!”).
- Tendency to Get Emotional Quickly
Four’s speech should shift between calm, sad, angry, and excited unpredictably.
The translator could add mood indicators like "sniff" for sadness or "GRRR" for anger.
- Non-Human Noises & Screams
Sometimes, instead of words, Four just makes incomprehensible noises, like "AAAEEEUHHH!!"
The translator should replace some words with random, exaggerated noises.
- Repetitive and Quirky Phrases
“You’re ELIMINATED!!” should be capitalized and extended for dramatic effect.
Common Four-isms like “I don’t like this!!” should be translated to their exaggerated form.
- Occasional Number-Related Substitutions
Since Four is a personification of the number 4, the translator could replace words with numbers or add random number references.
Example: “That is unfair” → “That is un4ir!!!”
