This is for a fantasy novel I am working on. To create a language for this race of barbarian nomads I am translating phrases in Hungarian and German and taking the vowels from one language with the consonants of the other.
Note: Compound words. If the pair is noun+noun, the order does not matter. Galis is "cloud land", AKA Felkord. If the pair is noun+adjective, the noun is always first. For instance, the word "king" is a compound of "chief + great", AKA kezro.
Note: double letters. If a compound word results in double vowels, one is dropped. For instance, Felkord, not Felkoord.
