Welcome! This is a work-in-progress English to Australian translator. As far as I know it's the "best" one on the internet at the time of writing. All the others that I've tried are pretty bad. However, if you're looking for a "serious" translator, this one will not suite your purposes! It's exaggerated just for fun - Australians don't actually talk like this!
The Australian accent is heavily influenced by the accents of the early settlers who were primarily from England and Ireland. Many slang words like "mate" were taken from the slang of these original populations, but the meaning of many of these words have changed a bit. The first English colony was set up in 1788, and by the 1820s the accents and vernacular of the colonists were said to have been distinguishable from the "homeland" accents.
This translator has over 1000 translation rules including swapping certain suffixes and prefixes to try to reproduce an (exaggerated) Australian accent. If you have suggestions to improve the English-to-Australian translations, please leave them in the comments below! It's certainly not perfect! Thanks :)
