The Paulista language, widely known as the Paulista general language (LGP), is a Paulista language, originated in the Captaincy of São Vicente (actual State of São Paulo), it was formerly known as the general language of the south, it came from the base of Portuguese, Castilian and Tupi. It was the main language of communication for the Bandeirantes after and before Portuguese. It is reported that in the 18th century, it was the most widely spoken language on Paulista soil. Some believe that it influenced the dialect known as “Caipira”, ways of saying that it is present in several locations, from São Paulo to Paraná, South of Minas Gerais, South of Goiás, etc.
