GOST 16876-71 was the official transliteration system in place for the Soviet Union (and most of the post-Soviet states) until it was abolished in 2002 in favor of the GOST 7.79-2000 system in 2002. It was in place from 1971 until 2002 and had minor reforms in 1973 and 1980.
I made this transcriber more for myself since like... who's ever going to need this? But I was pretty tired of having to hand compare each and every letter using the search feature so... here's something a little more easy for anyone who for whatever reason wants to use this system instead.
This system is based on the second table of the '71 system, by the way. It also does not transcribe letters that were abandoned after the 1918 reforms.
a/n: "je" can also be transcribed as "e", either works.
