A fusional inflected language, Classical Auran was the tongue of
the Auran Empire for much of its long history. It is a rich, melodic
language with a complex grammar that evolved over thousands
of years. In the late Empire, it gradually devolved into the
simplified language called Common Auran or simply Common.
In translating the records of the Auran Empire into English,
Common Auran is usually translated into English, while Classical
Auran is rendered in its original form.
