Chipmunk Voice Changer (online pitch changer)

Hey there and welcome to our Chipmunk Voice Changer, which will let you experience what your voice would sound like as a high-pitched, squeaky chipmunk voice. Don't forget to play with the drop-down menu provided so you can experiment with different "intensities" of the chipmunk voice effect.
You don't need to download any software to use this, and it's completely free. Just click the "record a clip" button to create a voice recording that we'll add microphone effects to. If you're feeling playful, there's an option to upload a voice recording of someone else.
Even though chipmunks don't really have a "voice", we all know what a chipmunk voice is, and can all imagine what it sounds like - a high-pitched, squeaky, sped-up version of a human voice. It tends to make even adult voices sound like a child's voice, and can range from a tolerably cute voice to annoying. It can sometimes appear in popular culture (in tv shows and movies) for comedic effect when something is being sped up.
People generally find the chipmunk voice cute and funny, and it became a phenomenon so popular that a musical group and subsequent movie were made about it. Alvin and the Chipmunks was originally created as a novelty music group, with each chipmunk given a distinct personality and child-like voice.

Largely due to the novelty of the voice effects in the movie (which was a musical, so plenty of opportunity for adorable singing), it was well-received as a children's movie and the makers went on to create three more films, each with the transformed voices that people (mostly kids) loved so much.
It's commonly known that if you'd like to modify your voice, you can do so by inhaling a bit of helium (see our Helium Voice Changer for this!) - but with our voice converter, you don't need helium balloons or the tech used to make movies or musical groups.
If you enjoyed using this voice modulator, you may also like the microphone effects found at voicechanger. Over there you'll find free audio changers that will transform the pitch and frequency of your voice, and will let you emulate the vocals of some popular fiction characters.
Feedback and suggestions are always welcome here, so if there's a new voice filter you'd like to see, or improvements you think should be made, let us know in the comments or in the suggestions box.
