Ắ ắ Sound: a as in “name”
Ê ê Sound: e as in "me"
Ệ ệ Sound: stressed "e"
Ô ô Sound: o as in "no"
Đ đ Sound: same sound as "d" but this "d" is used at the end of words.
In addition
An Accent on a vowel that goes to the right (ex. á é í ó ú) makes the vowel longer, if it goes to the left it makes it shorter.
