PREFACE
In Final Fantasy IX, there is a chain of islands to the immediate south of the Mist Continent. Save for one Island (dubbed 'Lanshake Island'), this area is called Suma Archipelago.
From this comes a series of world-building headcanons, linking the backstory of Alleyway Jack (aka Gilgamesh) to a long-dead culture known as 'Suman'. This culture is based around the Suma Archipelago, its surroundings, and all of the lower Lindblum Region including King Ed Plains to the East.
