There are many beasts that only speak a language commonly referred to as "beastspeech", as most of its speakers are animals or creatures. It is not unheard of for a humanoid to be knowledgeable of beastspeech, but few can master its guttural sounds and barks.
Beastspeech is called many different things, such as Beastongue, Hordic, Hordespeech, and sometimes simply "the Dark", as many evil creatures that take on the forms of or are themselves beasts are either well acquainted with or are fluent in Beastspeech. It is here that Beastspeech is most oftenly called the Dark, or Language of the Dark.
