Nac Translator

A Daic conlang made by Reverie

What is Nac?

Nac is a Tai (yes, it's Tai, and not Thai) constructed language made by Reverie (me!). Nac is spoken by the Nacian people, an of course, fictional people who came from the Pearl River, and migrated to what is now modern day Myanmar, China, and, India. They are also abundant across the Indochinese Peninsula (countries like Thailand, Laos, and, Cambodia).

What's a Tai or Daic language?

A Tai or a Daic language is a language that is part of the Zhuang-Tai language family. Basically, a bunch of languages related to each other. Good examples of Zhuang-Tai languages are Thai, Laotian, Shan, and Zhuang. Little known fact, the Zhuang people (who speaks Zhuang, duh) are the most populous minority ethnic group in China, so it's a big deal. TLDR; It's languages related to each other; a family. Examples are Thai, Laotian, Shan, and Zhuang.

Why did you make Nac?

I guess I like linguistics. Well, I have a bunch of failed, incomplete conlangs, and ones that I've lost motivation to. Generally, I keep making more languages because boredom! And besides, it's fun making a constructed language; your own language! I hope Nac is going to keep me motivated at linguistics. TLDR; It's fun to make one, and also because I love linguistics.

Why pick Tai out of all language families?

I always see Germanic, Romance, Slavic; generally Indo-European conlangs out there. People overlook underrated language families, and the Tai family is one of them.

The translator doesn't work!

The translator may not work because it is missing words. Don't complain and instead suggest words, because not all conlangs are perfect. I may be missing a lot of words, but that's probably because the Proto-Tai Wiktionary page has just that for my material. Try animal names.
